Craniosacral-Fascial Therapy (CFT) is a hands-on unwinding technique where the patient’s own fascial restrictions are used to help alleviate pain, tightness and other symptoms of the body. Since everyone is different and their pains are unique to them, there are no pre-prescribed protocols.

Fascial tissue is one continuous weave of connective tissue that goes from around the feet all the way to the head. Recent research shows that fascial tissue weaves in and out of every single cell in your body including muscles and organs. This is why CFT can treat everything from muscle tightness to various organ issues (such as IBS). One square inch of fascial tissue can restrict up to 2000 psi of pressure! Once the restrictions are released, blood flow and rejuvenating oxygen flood into the now-loosened area, allowing the natural healing process to occur.

Craniosacral work is specific to the central nervous system and the spine. Cranio is for the skull and sacral is for the base of the spine where it attaches to the pelvis. The originator of CFT, Dr. Barry Gillespie from King Of Prussia, read that in 1979, electron microscope research found that cerebrospinal fluid existed in all collagen fibers in the connective tissue. This means that the fluid that coats your brain and spinal cord also flows into the body, showing the connection of the central (brain and spinal cord) and peripheral (rest of the body) systems of the body.

Because of this connection, tight fascial tissue anywhere in the body can affect the spine and brain. Tightness affecting the brain can limit its availability of resources and cause it to not function properly. This can lead to symptoms. Symptoms that can be helped by CFT include: migraines, sinus issues, concussion, pain and tightness, limited range of motion, insomnia, TMJ, IBS and constipation, depression, anxiety, asthma, ADHD, learning disorders, strabismus, scoliosis, bed wetting and frequent urination, general tightness, postural restrictions and mild deformities.

See What Our Clients Say

For the past three years, I have been having horrible stomach pains along with terrible bowel issues. After getting my gallbladder out three years ago, the pain subsided for a little while, but after about six months of being gallbladder free, my symptoms started back up again. The only difference was that they weren’t as severe. My gastroenterologist says that my pain is due to having Irritable Bowel Syndrome aka IBS, however I don’t know if I fully believe that this is the only reason for my pain. As a result, I decided to research other options.

At first, Aaron decided to use acupuncture because we both thought that my abundance of stress was a contributing factor. However, this only seemed to lessen my attacks, not stop them. Therefore, we decided to try CFT, or what I now call, a miracle treatment. Not only have my symptoms completely stopped, but I am now able to eat like a normal human being. I am so thankful for Aaron and everything he has done for me. Without CFT, I wouldn’t be able to live my life. I used to be constantly worried about when my next attack was going to happen, but now I don’t have to.
